T-Mobile launches Alcatel GO Flip dumb phone for just $75

Even though smartphone sales exploded in the last couple of years, there are still many consumers who are still using so-called “dumb phones.” Few major brands still launch feature phones, and they're mostly selling well in emerging markets where people can't afford smartphones.

Well, it appears that T-Mobile has picked up a new features phone, the Alcatel GO Flip. As the name suggests, this is a clamshell phone that offers just the basic traits even though it packs decent specs.

First off, it's worth pointing out the Alcatel GO Flip is available at T-Mobile for $3 down and $3 per month for 24 months, or $75 outright. Specs-wise, the feature phone packs a 1.1GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB of expandable storage.

It also sports a small 2.8-inch display with 320 x 240 pixels resolution, as well as a 5-megapixel primary camera. The phone is powered by a small 482mAh battery and does come with 4G LTE support.

Alcatel GO Flip makes an excellent choice for those who've never used a smartphone (and don't want to) before or those who just can't afford to purchase one.
