Samsung's Secure Folder now available from the Google Play Store
Earlier this month, Samsung eliminated its My Knox security platform from its Galaxy handsets. This was a "sandbox" that allowed users to use the same phone for work and play. At the office, Knox would provide secure apps to use. At home, the work apps would be locked down which prevented the kids or anyone else from accidentally accessing apps related to work. Even though Knox will not be found on new Samsung handsets, those already using the feature can continue to do so until the end-of-service date, which has not yet been announced.
Now that it is in the Google Play Store, updates to the app are easier to find and install. Just keep one thing in mind. Despite the inclusion of Secure Folder to the Play Store, the app is still limited to compatible Samsung Galaxy handsets. To install the app on such a device, click on the sourcelink.
