Samsung Galaxy S II available for pre-paid service at T-Mobile and Walmart for $299.99

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S III is available for $299.00 through Walmart for those who subscribe to Walmart’s Family Mobile service. This is a monthly, no-contract service powered by the T-Mobile network. The Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Talk, Text and Web plan is $45 per month for the first line and $35 per month for additional lines. Web surfing, data and social media is unlimited with 3G speed for the first 250MB of data usage. The plan and the phone is available online or at Walmart stores.
Our only question is, will the Samsung Galaxy S III be in this position next year?

Last years phone that is still good today for 300$ no contract? Now if only if it ran on AT&T HSPA+ network....

It runs on T-Mobile's HSPA+ which is faster than AT&T's. I've pulled in on average, about 24-25mbp/s download with T-Mobile. Fasted I've gotten on AT&T? About 10mbp/s.

I'm on contract with AT&T.... So hence why I said the "if only"

I don't think it's a steal, $50 more and you get the unlocked, pentaband, 720p screen Galaxy Nexus, also I think the T-Mobile GS2 uses the s**tty Snapdragon S2 and not the Exynos, so the Nexus wins even on the CPU

The picture PA posted is misleading. They are selling you the T Mobile SGS2 with the 4.5 inch display with a 1.5 dual core S3 processor. The photo PA posted is that of the international unlocked GSM one. That one has the 4.3 inch dual core exynos processor with the physical home button.
