The mid-range Samsung Galaxy A50 just got much closer to release
Out of the nine mid-range offerings Samsung has up its sleeves, rumors suggest the Galaxy A50 will be the first to market. Today, this expectation is further backed up by the device’s newly-granted Bluetooth certification.

Referred to as the Galaxy A50 (SM-A505FN), the listing confirms that Samsung’s next mid-ranger will support the Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy standard. But as is often the case, no key specifications are included. Fortunately for us, though, previous leaks have revealed most of the smartphone’s features.

For starters, the device is set to include a large Infinity-V display – Samsung’s first Galaxy A-series model to do so. This will reportedly be accompanied by an in-display fingerprint scanner similar to the one found on the OnePlus 6T.

Internally, a previous sighting revealed that Samsung’s own Exynos 9610 would be present putting the smartphone on par with the Snapdragon 660-powered Galaxy A9 (2018). This’ll seemingly be paired with 4GB of RAM, either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, and Android 9 Pie. A large 4,000mAh battery is also rumored.

Completing the Galaxy A50’s package will reportedly be a triple-camera setup similar to the one found on the Galaxy A7 (2018). This means that a 24-megapixel sensor will be accompanied by both a wide-angle camera and a dedicated depth sensor. Considering the relatively poor quality of the aforementioned device’s pictures, though, it’ll remain to be seen if any improvements have been made.

The Samsung Galaxy A50 will probably be announced next month at MWC 2019, shortly after the Galaxy S10 series makes its debut the week prior. Pricing remains a mystery at the moment but a release should take place during March.
