Nokia sends out OTA updates for the XpressMusic 5800 & 5530

Two of Nokia's once considered flagship touchscreen phones are still in the mix and close to Nokia's heart as both the XpressMusic 5800 & 5530 received some love thanks to some firmware updates. The over-the-air updates, v510.0.066 for the 5800 and v31.0.005 for the 5530, sparks some much needed life into these once big name handsets that attempted to bring Nokia into the touchscreen table. Although the presentation of the platform remains unchanged, the updates being rolled out include improvements to the web browser, updates to the music player, and of course your normal amount of minor bug fixes. Even though these updates won't require a full erase to install properly, it's probably best to backup all of your data before proceeding to install them. You can simply check for the updates by typing in *#0000# while you're on the homescreen then click the “check for updates.”
