It was back at the end of May when we last presented to you a picture of the HTC Touch Pro2 wearing Verizon colors. The clocks have been moving ahead and the pages on the calender have been dropping off the wall. We are within 2 weeks of T-Mobile becoming the first U.S. carrier to launch the Touch Pro2 and Sprint is said to be releasing its version of the handset on September 3rd. Verizon fans have seen the name of the model in Big Red's inventory system, but nothing gets the juices flowing like a couple of new pictures.

If you take the time to go back and look at the first picture from late May, you will notice some minor changes between the first model and the new one. The HTC logo seems to have been moved from the top corner of the phone opposite the Verizon brand, to the space under the display. The bottom line is that there now is more room for the Verizon and HTC logos. Speaking of making more room, with Verizon now offering both the Touch Pro and the Touch Diamond for $99.99 with a 2 year contract, there should be plenty of shelf space for the sequel versions of both handsets once they go on sale at the nation's largest carrier.

Looks Great! I would bet money if you look very close that the back will more than likely resemble the current touch pro's glossy black.... On a side note to phonearena.....YOUR NICORETTE SPAMERTISEMENT IS OUT OF CONTROL!!! I can barely view the pictures of the touch pro 2. I know you guys need to pay the bills but this is out of control!!

Switch to Firefox and Ad-Block Plus and NoScript. They handle those pesky ads with ease.

release date is tentatively set at 9/10/09, that should be made final within the next week or two. It has already arrived at the call centers so the tech support guys can activate them and play with them first, which usually happens when launch is about a month away

I Agree, although some may Scoff at the color choice I think that it looks BRILLIANT! I think the "Mocha" color is VERY Classy and definitely will be picking it up.

Will this phone do voice and data simultaneously? That's the deal maker or deal breaker for me.
