My Verizon Mobile gets new look, additional functions
Android and BlackBerry users on the Verizon network can now benefit from the new look and functionality from the revised My Verizon Mobile. Clicking on the icon while on the go will allow certain smartphone owners on Big Red's network to view data, message and minute usage, change Friends and Family numbers, make payments and set up an automatic payment schedule. For those who like to own the latest, hottest handsets, you can see when you are next eligible for an upgrade.

In a press release, the nation's largest carrier said that customers will still have the same features from My Verizon Mobile that they have become accustomed to such as obtaining invoice reprints, changing addresses and passwords, and accessing Family Locator. The service is pre-installed on all of Verizon's Android devices and can be downloaded on the BlackBerry Storm and Storm2 as a free update. The service will be made available on more BlackBerry models and on Feature and 3G Multimedia phones in the next few months.

Isn't this old news or is this another major update?

Actually, it's a re-vamped look and feel, closer to the new website based utility. It looks better, IMO

Now, if they can just make their website more customer friendlier...

No, people complaining about late posts is the most recent major update. Get a grip, not even CNN or the BBC breaks news first all the time.

I think this is a few months old, we're not talking about a few days.

Android has been on verizon's network for over a year, thats how old this news is lol unless the news is that its being made more available on smartphones

The fact that it is out there is old news, the idea that it is being brought to more handsets is new news. They get a "free pass" on this article. Thanks, P.A.
