Microsoft releases short videos showing features of the Surface 3 tablet

The Microsoft Surface 3 offers what Microsoft calls "the full Windows experience," which is a shot at its own Windows RT. The latter has presumably been taken out back at Redmond, shot and buried. With the after-glow of the Microsoft Surface Pro 3's success still lighting up the endorphins of Microsoft's engineers that worked on the enterprise-centric device, the company hopes that this time it can make a popular consumer oriented slate.

Five videos were released by Microsoft today, featuring things like the Surface Pen. The latter allows you to convert handwriting to text, highlight documents and PDFs, and more. It's a handy tool for Surface 3 users to have. Another one of the short clips shows you how the three-position kickstand helps you get the screen at just the right angle for your viewing pleasure.

Microsoft is offering the Surface 3 from its online store for as low as $499 for the Wi-Fi only model with 64GB of native storage and 2GB of RAM. For $100 more, you can double the storage and double the RAM.

Before you buy, you might want to check out the videos which you can view by clicking on the video slideshow below.
