i know right? "this just in: Verizon wireless is teaming up with California dog breeders to create a new animal to challenge Apple's iPhone. The iPhone will stand no chance against teeth." or "this just in: Verizon wireless is teaming up with Blendtec to create a blender that will challenge Apple's iPhone. Will it blend? Ohh yes."

You're frikin' pathetic. This is so stupid and so sarcastic. Not even great enough to mount up to how much you're worth!

In all fairness I'm fairly sure that most of the iPhone talk is a result of the media and not VZW itself. Yes obviously VZW wants to have a high selling and sucessful phone. If they can do that without ever getting the media share that the iPhone gets I'm sure they'd be perfectly happy. As it is though everything is going to be cast in terms of the iPhone.

I thought that iPhone was coming to Verizon. If this article is true then the whole thing about iPhone coming to Verizon is probably (and hopefully) not true. And I thought the Storm was Verizon's response to the iphone.

Again, why? I don't know all of apple's plans. If I did I'd be rich. Why would they take their ball and go play somewhere else just because VZW is talking to other companies? I'm sure they don't expect VZW to drop every other phone they carry and just carry iPhones. One has nothing to do with the other.

I understand Verizon looking at other phones fot their netwotk but you don't make a model to compete with the sales of another in your lineup!

Dear Phonearena Editor, You forgot to cite one of your sources, Engadgetmobile.com. Its not nice to copy and paste someone elses work, which is also called plagiarism! I would suggest that in the future you either A:Publish original work or B:Cite your sources when unavoidable. Thank You Razr with an actual Razor FTW

Legion, you're an idiot! As you can see, the author cites the Wall Street Journal as a source. I have worked in the academic field for a while now and understand something about citing sources and though his citation is not in a formal lay-out, he does cite his source. Not only that, have you thought about the fact that Engadgetmobile might be getting their information from someone else, thus not being the primary source? You know what, just stop posting your thoughts on this website and we'll all be smarter for it. I'll do you one better, I'll even quote you the Engadget's author who wrote the article, which you idiotically think is the primary source, and where he cites THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, "It's crazy, we know. Just hours after hearing shockingly believable whispers that Apple's white-hot iPhone 3G could be sashaying over to Verizon Wireless, in flies a Wall Street Journall report asserting that the suits in Redmond are (also?) in talks with America's largest carrier. " (http://www.engadget.com/, 4/28/09)

I'll attest to the copying syndrome, Legion started that first...

Chupum, your an idiot-savante! Perhaps if he were writing a research paper your comments would apply but as it is a NEWS article you are incorrect. As for you saying I think engadgetmobile is the originator of this piece of news, you are wrong again, did you even read my post before starting your childish rant? "You forgot to cite one of your sources". The only reason this piece of news is on phonearena is becuase they read engadgetmobile and copied the story, not becuase they were investigating on their own and happened upon it in the WSJ. So, say it with me now, Phonearena copied off of engadgetmobile. You completely missed what I was saying, and HOW DARE YOU, someone who is not a regular user or poster on this site, tell me what I can and cannot comment on. How about you try to understand what you are talking about next time you unsuccesfully flame someone.

Calm down. Its a damn phone website. Who the heck cares what people say?

Whether this is a research paper or not, giving credit to an original author is universal in publishing any written work, whether it's a literary "nod", or a formally written citation! As quoted by you, "Its not nice to copy and paste someone elses work, which is also called plagiarism!" you clearly state that this article was copied... WHERE DO YOU SEE THE COPY AND PASTING?!? I mean honestly, did you even read the engadget article? Because upon doing further investigation, you will find that your comments are completely unwarranted and no phrases were imitated!!! AND I NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT? Give me a break!!! Second point... Even if you had knowledge that the writers on this site read Engadgetmobile, blindly assuming that this author copied and pasted lines from another source based on your myopic knowledge is completely idiotic! Especially when you haven't read the endgadget article. And, to further discredit you as an intelligent participant on this website, if you believe that "The only reason this piece of news is on phonearena is becuase they read engadgetmobile and copied the story, not becuase they were investigating on their own and happened upon it in the WSJ.", then they wouldn't need to cite ANYONE! Think of it this way, if two reporters report on a presidential press conference about the economy without copying each others phrases, do both reporters need to cite each other? I honestly feel ridiculous about having to explain this to you! Third point... When you express your surprise about how I could insult you even though I'm not a regular poster on this site is completely ridiculous!!! Your hackneyed quote of, "Razr with an actual Razor FTW" is your poor attempt at humor, and kind of implies that I have read many of your comments before. Besides, why would ANYONE need to be a regular member of anything to rebuke someone like you,who has tastelessly insulted the earnest effort of someone else on reporting information that they read, while also giving the original source its' due credit? ::SIGH:: you're just a moron...
