Not into the all the Motorola Droid hype that has been going on, and looking for a basic touchscreen phone with some music ability? Then the new LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 might be for you. We've know about the device for quite some time, and even previewed a pre-production unit last month, but on November 5th it will finally be released. Verizon's internal site is showing that the price will be $79.99 after a $50 rebate with a 2-year contract, $149.99 after $50 rebate with a 1-year contract, and $259.99 full retail. Features will include a 3" touchscreen with 400x240 pixel resolution, music player and FM radio that can play in the background (multitasking), 3.2MP camera, 1GB internal music memory, 16GB microSDHC support, HTML web browser, and all the standard VCast capabilities. For some reason they decided for data to use EVDO Rev 0 instead of Rev A, but in doing so it will not be classified as an Enhanced Multimedia Phone and will not require a data plan. im going form a LG Dare to Motorola Droid next week im not settling for less

went from the Dare to the Storm and now to the Droid. Fuck this phone. Got to play with it just about an hour ago. It's rubbish, and will fail just like every other LG "Chocolate" phone. Dumbphones or feature phones are retarded as is

i think ill just keep my Dare. this is basically a dare without the rev a and schneider kreuznach lens and flash.so ill keep my dare...

This phone isn't much more manlier... I like the long Chocolate Touch better. At least it was unique. btw, required data plans on dumbphones is complete bs. I thought required data was bad for smartphones (hey some people want a good phone but don't have the money to get a data plan), but this is even worse.

i'll upgrade from my chocolate 3 if it has a FM transmitter. Some of the sites said it does and some say it doesn't
