Is your DROID deleting your email?
Some DROID owners on the Verizon forum are complaining that the DROID has a bug that is deleting their corporate email. Even starting over and setting up the mailbox again is not helping. Calendars and contacts are not affected. One possibility is that this is related to the Taskiller app that closes open applications to save battery life and memory. According to one DROID owner posting on the board, if you have downloaded the app from the Android Market, long press on the email application and hit "Exclude". Whether this solves the problem is still unclear. But so far, the problem seems limited to corporate email accounts. Let us know if you have had this problem and what solution you have found that works.

Well the Droid is an open software. Anything can get into your phone and cause problems.

My Droid deletes my emails all the time. All I have to do it check it read the email and go back to my home screen. As soon as I hit the email button again to say read it again it's gone. I usually have to log into my actual gmail account, and do a search because it files it in a archive for some reason My friend had me change a setting yesterday and now it has to "confirm delete", and so far so good.

I use POP3, but i have the opposite problem. I delete an email and like a minute later it comes back, this is not always happening, its actually very few times, but its annoying every time. There is lag with emails received and sometimes when sent.

I have my droid hooked up to an exchange server for work, but I havent run into this issue yet. Same with my POP3 accounts, no issues whatsoever. Guess I got lucky haha

guys are pathetic. its just following whatever your email clients rules are. you need to make sure you client has "leave messages on server" checked....if not, it will delete and ur device will delete them on next sync

my droid deletes my text messages all of a sudden, every conversation is gone

Mine notifies me of emails that aren't there. Nothing has been deleted, they're just not there. I leave my messages on the server until I check with my home and/or work PC. It doesn't do it a lot but, it does it. Update hasn't changed anything.
