HTC DROID ERIS receives a new firmware update
Owners of the HTC DROID ERIS have reported that their phones have received a new over-the-air firmware update starting today. The update is to resolve an issue where the DROID ERIS would not properly wake up from screen saver mode, as the display would stay locked or show out-of-service. Unfortunately, this does not update the OS to Android 2.1, as it remains Android 1.5, but with the ROM changing to 1.17.605.1. As you may recall, the device has already received an update last month, with addressed a number of issues.

Thank god. i hate it when my phone freezes up. I, being the nice guy that i am, try to let it unfreeze itself, but when it reboots on its own, it'll go through the whole start up process and then i get a black screen saying no service. Thank you VERIZON!
