Gionee M2017 spotted on AnTuTu running the Snapdragon 653 SoC, featuring 6GB of RAM and a QHD screen
Earlier today we told you that the Gionee M2017 had been certified in China by the country's TENAA regulatory agency. Now, we have another look at some of the phone's specs thanks to a benchmark test that the phone was put through. AnTuTu confirmed that the 5.7-inch screen on the M2017 will carry a 1440 x 2560 resolution. Instead of a Helio P10 chipset under the hood, as disclosed by TENAA, AnTuTu shows that a Snapdragon 653 SoC is powering the device with an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 510 GPU.

Confirmed by the AnTuTu test is the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage inside the handset. While TENAA calls for a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP snapper in front, AnTuTu says that the camera in back could be 12MP or 13MP, although it agrees with the 8MP selfie shooter in front. And AnTuTu does confirm that Android 6.0.1 is pre-installed.

One of the most interesting features about the phone, which was mentioned by TENAA but not AnTuTu, is the 7000mAh battery reportedly inside the unit. A power plant like that inside the M2017 would probably allow the user to go as long as 72 hours before feeding the battery. One negative to stuffing such a high capacity cell inside a smartphone reveals itself with a body that is 10.65mm thick, weighing 230 grams.
