Deal alert: HTC One trade-in offer this weekend only, up to $375 toward your old phone
And just like that, HTC pumps up the volume on its trade-in offer for those that upgrade to the company’s new flagship device, the HTC One.

Just after extending the original promo, which guarantees a minimum $100 payback for your traded-in device, HTC has a special promo for this weekend only to get some wind back in its sails now that the competition is coming into the picture, now offering up to $375 back.

Who could get $375? iPhone 5 owners that show proof of purchase this weekend of their new HTC One, complete the online trade in process by 11:59PM eastern on May 5th will be eligible. Of course you have to mail in your old phone, and your payment comes in the form of a pre-loaded Visa Card. Samsung Galaxy S3 owners could get up to $210, iPhone 4S users up to $255. If you have a BlackBerry Z10 and not liking it, you could get up to $250 for yours. Lumia 920 owners could get $150.

Like many promotions, there are a few things you have to do, first thing you have to do is buy an HTC One, then you have to confirm your trade-in with HTC, and get the information to mail in your old phone. Those that work a little slow will have until June 15th to mail their old device, but you have to complete the online portion before the stroke of mid-night on Sunday. However, if you have wanted something new, the HTC One is an outstanding device worthy of your consideration. It has a great build quality, capable camera and HTC’s Sense 5 with Blink Feed is fine user experience in the world of Android devices.

Unfortunately, this promotion is only valid in the United States.  See the source link below to start your trade-in and get more details.

Who has an Iphone 5 that would buy an HTC One? Yeah I think the One is better but that's largely because it runs on Android. Who would buy an Iphone 5 knowing they like Android more?

Of course there are more pros, but they aren't THAT significant if you take out the ones that were obvious before purchasing the iPhone 5 (bigger screen, high res, etc)

People with the iPhone 5 since it came out might want to trade it in during that time. Although, you can always sell your iPhone nowadays for more than 375$ and buy it outright from the money you get.

A lot of those phones they'll buy from you for that much, you could sell yourself for much more (nearly double) on ebay. A quick search shows that the iPhone 5 gets around ~$500, iPhone 4S ~$330, Galaxy S3 ~$335, Z10 ~$370, ect.

Ok choice for those who don't want to go threw the hassle of ebay I guess, but diffidently not the best option if you want to get the max amount.

iP5 for $500 means you are paying an ETF in the range of $200 plus $200 in purchase price for the iP5, for cost of around $400. Then there are the eBay + PayPal fees of ~9%, $49. Plus shipping of around $8. Total cost out-the-door of about $457. Net on the eBay sale of say, $43. Compared with $100 for my 5 year old BB 8330? I will take the Franklin, thank you.

I made a profit of 240 dollars after selling my old Blackberry 9900 on Amazon. I have sold stuff on Ebay and I have no idea where u are getting 457 out the door.. Your math needs some serious polishing

Also, go read the fine print!

They can decide your trade-in has too many scratches, and it doesn't qualify, and they will not return your old phone. Its gone forever and you don't get a cent!
those who root their phones, like me, should be doubly worried!!!
The conditions are not fair!!!!!!!

Yeah I just read that. They said they'll just recycle it if it doesn't qualify...total bs.

I think HTC got some lemons in trade for the $100 promotional offer. Lessons learned and what-not.

i just tried the HTC One today for the first time. and i gotta say... over the years Apple has been succesful in its marketing in the fact that they sold the "Sexy" device. Apple products had always looked the coolest and tahts why they gathered such a large following. if your friend has one, you need one, ect.

But after playing with this phone, and seeing its curves... i without a doubt can say that Android has more than beaten the "sexy" factor ten fold. The HTC One is the sexiest, slickest, best built phone on the market in my opnion.

Since the court injunction preventing STM from supplying Nokia specially designed Hi Amplitude microphones (for its Rich Recording tech) to HTC for the One, has HTC made it clear its current production of the One will have these HAAC mics? The HTC One was initially advertised to have its Distortion Free Recording built in (though it required these Nokia patented microphones). What happens now that the supply is gone...are new HTC One's now being produced without these microphones. I wish HTC would be clear about this, instead of purportedly removing the Distortion Free Recording from its site and from the specification sheet.

Only 150$ for Lumia 920.....???? They should have paid more for Lumia 920, so they could have got more of them, and then they could have used the ST microphone chips on 920, in their phone, since they are not gonna get Any more chips from ST electronics............ :)

This phone is one of the best phones anyone can buy with the best build quality and material, awesome camera, best battery on an htc phone yet, really like the revision of sense, and just overall the phone is good.
Probably you want this to add storage on HTC One. Last 15 hours to check Mini MicroSD Reader on kickstarter.
