Bold 9700 simulator

As if we didn't have a hundred and one things telling us that the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 is close to being launched by Verizon, we now can tell you that Big Red's web site now offers an emulator for the handset. Go ahead and knock yourself out spinning the 9550 around and pressing the icons. Actually, there are some things we have spotted from the emulator. The new BlackBerry 5.0 OS does away with Verizon's coding on signal strength and a "3G' logo pops up on the top right of the screen instead of the 1XEV seen on the first-gen model. Also, the browser now has as a choice for your home site, the infamous VZW web portal that those who have used feature phones like the LG Voyager and LG Dare are familiar with. To get to the emulator, just click the source link.

For those with the BlackBerry Bold 9700 on their mind, a simulator is available for this upcoming 'Berry as well. Whether you are a developer or just want to play pretend, you should know that the OS on the simulator is not the build that is expected to be on the unit that gets launched. According to Crackberry, the "gold" code is 5.0.0.321.

Why is there an article every 10 min about the storm on phonearena.. This isn't even one of the top 10 phone.

I agree... I might not be they're most highly rated. But is one of the Top 5 best selling in recent years, so a lot of the customer base has them. That's the only thing I can think of. lol. I wish the Curve's got this much spotlight though, since Curve sales tromp anything else almost every quarter. Even now it sells good and it's hecka old.
