Battery capacity cut on Meizu Blue Charm

When originally introduced a few days ago, the Meizu Blue Charm had a 2610mAh battery stuffed inside. But problems with the quality control at the company that was to supply Meizu with the batteries had forced the manufacturer to make a change. But this new supplier also had a problem with QC forcing Meizu to accept a lower capacity 2500mAh cell for the Blue Charm.

The Meizu Blue Charm will carry a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 768 x 1280. That works out to a pixel density of 299ppi. Driving the handset is a quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6732 CPU with the Mali T-760 handling graphics. 1GB of RAM is on board with 8GB of native storage, and a 128GB capacity microSD slot is available for those needing additional memory. A 13MP camera adorns the back of the phone, and a 5MP "selfie" snapper is on the front of the device. Android 4.4 is pre-installed.

Meizu has already changed the Blue Charm's specs on its website to reflect the change. The manufacturer says that those looking to buy the phone shouldn't worry about the smaller battery capacity. Meizu says that it will optimize the phone so it runs just as long with the 2500mAh cell.
