Verizon officially releases OS for the BlackBerry Curve 8530
Verizon customers holding dearly to a BlackBerry Curve 8530 should be happy to know that Big Red just released an update that carries along the latest version of the platform for the smartphone. The official update to OS can now be downloaded online through Verizon's web site and brings along some new fixes and tweaks – thus resolving any of the remaining bugs found with the handset.

In addition, it's suppose to make the handset just run a tad bit smoother to make the overall experience just easier to swallow for owners. As with any software update, it's recommended to backup your data via BlackBerry Desktop Manager before proceeding with installation. Once you've got that all taken care of, you'll be able to take joy knowing that your handset is up-to-date with everything.
