Sprint to release mobile media sharing service

Sprint has announced the upcoming launch of a new mobile media sharing service for its subscribers, called Sprint PCS Picture Mail groups. The new service will allow Sprint's customers to upload on a special web page text, photos, and video clips to share, manage and store. Moreover, customers will be able to create specialized web pages on whatever topic they are interested in, where to upload and share with approved users their pictures and video clips on the topic, taken with their camera phones. The approved users will also be able to upload content via their e-mail or Sprint phone. The Sprint PCS Picture Mail groups service, which will be available with most of the Sprint PCS service plans, is expected to be launched this spring for as a little as $5 a month.
