It's a sad day for Windows Mobile fans, although there will probably be much joy come October when Windows Mobile 6.5 launches. Palm announced their latest earnings and also shed ties with old platforms in favor of their WebOS. During a press call today, the veteran smartphone maker revealed that they will no longer make and sell smartphones powered by Windows Mobile. So it looks like the Palm Treo Pro
is the last, and arguably one of the best, device to own if you want a taste of Microsoft. WebOS will be the future and the focus is improving the platform. Looking back, Palm really did make some memorable Treos that will now be a a part of history. Nonetheless, the future is still bright and expect WebOS to be a top contender in the competitive platform environment.
