VZW 4G LTE Clues of New Coverage?

I am wondering if there is any way we can tell when VZW is adding 4G LTE to a certain area or tower? I have noticed that sometimes when 4G is being added, the 3G signal degrades or becomes "unstable". Then one day poof! There's 4G.
Is there any other clues to pending 4G upgrades?
Any info would be appreciated!

ps... does anyone remember when we went from analog to digital? lol , boy how far we've come!
