There is some good news for Virgin users of BlackBerry models (Virgin Mobile, that is) as the pre-paid carrier is removing the special $10 charge that 'Berry users had to pay per month. The revised pricing will take effect sometime this month although no specific date was announced.

It's going to be interesting when the prepaid services get close to almost matching the postpaid in monthly pricing. At least from a smartphone perspective anyway as I'm sure the feature phone prices will always remain very cheap.

My grandma has a very old flip phone with no data, texting, and like very little minutes ( she has an old plan) and pays 15$ every 3 months. She's getting an iPhone today for her 64th birthday. she's going to be shocked at the price difference!

I used to be on your beloved VM and had the Optimus V. Promptly switched to Sprint after noticing that VM doesn't care about their customers and REGULARLY has texting and data issues.
Sprint CDMA and 3G are used on VM and Boost but what's funny is that they don't get NEARLY as many 3G and texting issues. VM is bottom of the barrel for them and VM treats their customers that way.
I may pay $83/mo but at least I get good cell and 3G service and even better CUSTOMER SERVICE.
LOL

I have a feeling these revised plans will be released on the same day as the Motorola Triumph...July 19th.
