Verizon iPhone to be available on February 10 for everyone, you can pre-order a day earlier
We already know Verizon is set to launch the iPhone 4 for general sale on February 10, but now an official announcement from the carrier is offering us a few more details.

To start with, Big Red is obviously preparing itself for huge masses of people, since the Verizon iPhone is going to be available at more than 2000 of its stores, on its site, select retail partners, the Apple Store and even by calling 1-800-2 JOIN IN.

Furthermore, the carrier's stores will open at 7AM, but if you feel too lazy to get up that early, you can pre-order the handset on February 9 (through the Apple Store) for delivery. If you don't feel too lazy (it's the Verizon iPhone 4 after all), you can still reserve one just to be sure you are not going to leave empty-handed.

It is worth knowing that existing Verizon customers will be able to pre-order the iPhone 4 on the Apple site as soon as February 3.

Seems like the Verizon iPhone 4 fever is already in the air, so it's time to ask you - are you getting one on February 10?

Woo! A year-old overhyped call-dropping reception-lacking phone on a carrier with poor customer service! Excitement!

The iphone can be free, and I still want partake. What's the hype? The phone comes DOA-dead on arrival. no flash, no 4g, other than a market with overly priced apps that you now get free in the Android market. With Verizon doing everything to clobber the iphone since inception with Droid Does, I will never understand. With the upcoming Thunderbolt by HTC, Droid Bionic by Motorola, LG and Samsung smartphones capable of 4G their will be plenty of phones to choose from. I will wait for the 4G evolution to commence at Verizon. So bring on the comments because they will come from everyone out there waking up tonight at 3 am to order a iphone. good luck

I really wish you would spend more time checking your spelling and grammatical errors, rather than worrying about what someone else wants to do with their hard earned money. Last time I checked, we are living in a free country and can do as we please. If someone wants to buy a phone that they think is worth it, who are any of us to tell them that they're stupid or wrong? I just love how everyone on this website and others that I visit are so quick to call someone a name or tell them what they should and shouldn't be doing with their money.

There is a market of Verizon customers who swear by Apple products only. That's the purpose of the iPhone on Verizon. Also those who don't care about dual core processor this 4G that...will like this option. I don't see why ppl are so surprised by this. People have been swearin Blackberry for years with no desire to switch to Android or Apple but no one says anything about that. Verizon has Android or Blackberry (webOs not really relevant yet and W7 not existent). Its nice to have another OS thrown in the list of choices. At first the whole iPhone attack had some validity but now its just everybody sayin what someone else says. and what makes it worse is that the vast majority of ppl that bitch about the iPhone own an iPod touch...so what's the f'n diff. besides phone capability? the media keeps throwin gasonline on the "iPhone-killer" fire and whether you are iSheep or other sheep you go for the bait every time. the iPhone bashin is gettin a little redundant...and i don't even have an iPhone. I'm waitin on the Thunderbolt...but its just a Thunderbolt...its not the "greatest phone ever! and every other phone in the world sucks balls!"

Okay im off my soap box now. How bout that Moto XOOM eh?

So you think the iPhone isn't a good phone based on phones with new features that aren't even out yet? Based on your criteria the Droid X sucks because it's not 4G and doesn't have dual processor.

VZW's customer service is great to me. Then again, I always pay my bills on time and in full and I dont call them for unecessary reasons nor to prove my intellect is better than theirs by quizzing them about information they either dont know or arent allowed to release.

Poor customer service is relative to what you are asking/expecting. I and my family have been with Verizon for over six years, been through many upgrades for phones and plan changes as kids have grown, had phones replaced for damages and have yet to have a "Bad" customer experience. I read all the plan information and conditions before making changes and research phones before purchasing to ensure I am getting what I want and not just what's avail. WOW, taking responsibility for my own actions. What a concept.

THEY SHOULD HAVE GIVEN SOME PEOPLE SOME EARLY UGRADES BUT I SEE THEY DIDNT VERIZON LIKE CHANGED ALL THERE STUFF SINCE THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THIS IHONE THEY CHANGED THE RETURN POLICY, REBATE PRICES, ANDROID APP RETURN TO 15 MINUTES, CHANGED THE NEW ONCE A YEAR UPGRADE, LIKE WHY?

You do realize that "Android App return" is not governed by Verizon Wireless seein as Google makes the software right? I'm gonna go with no b/c you included that ridiculous comment in your rant. Man, people are upset about policy changes but don't even know how their own phone functions. I hate ppl. Does it really take 30 days to decide if you like a phone? And if it does...is it the right phone for you? Customers want premium quality premium functions premium services for little or nothing but then accuse businesses of takin advantage of them. No concept of what goes into providing a service or offering a high quality phone. All the customer knows is they want what they want their way. Isn't that the same selfish mentality you accuse a business of?

If you knew anything about the history of VZW, you would realize that they change their plans/ policies/ upgrade eligibiliy every year around January/ February. I'm sure some part of this is iPhone related, but with that said the majority of changes would have happened either way...

Please have viable information before you begin to speculate on things you see that are out of context.

First of all, buisness changes all the time - AND Verizon KEPT the UNLIMITED PLAN!!! Talk about bad buisness - At&t had you all by the horns and dropped the Data plan on you then increased chrages the more you used it, and you want to complain about Verizon?!?

Verizon gives EXISTING customers the FIRST SHOT at the iPhone 4 Online pre order a WEEK IN ADVANCE from NEW CUSTOMERS and your complaining about customer service?!?!

They Fixed the Antenna issue and design flaw to FINALLY GIVE YOU WANT YOU'VE BEEN WANTING - and your still complaining?!?!

No body here is even saying this is the best phone or the best service, except an estimated 15 Million customers ARE saying these things and Verizon is doing exactly what those customers want - Id like to see a HAT trick from ANYONE in the industry that would turn out these results in ANY other situation - It sure wont be At&t, and Its definitely not t-Mobile - and David Blain isn't bringing in 15M people with any magic so Sprint is out too. Its as big as the day it Launched for At&t almost 4 years later. I applaud VZW, Standing.

It is true, you cant please everyone, some people with either find SOMETHING to complain about or they're going to be bitter their whole life. Sad people, just Sad.

I'm so fed up with people who talk about bad customer service. The only way you get bad customer service is if the person you are talking to isn't willing to help you with something that they can actually help you with. I'm tired of these people that call in asking to get an upgrade 6 months into their last upgrade and get upset that it can't happen. If your expecting something that isn't within the person your speaking with power, then of course your going to feel like you have bad customer service. You can get what they have to offer and if you just upgraded don't expect another phone.

As for the iPhone, I don't see why everyone is hating on it. It's a smart phone, basically all smart phones do the same thing.

Well i have had all the iphones since the first generation iphone right now i have the iphone 4 . And i am bored of ios im just waiting for the motorola matrix or the lg optimus 2x to come out for i could dump my iphone. why im doing this? Because there are waaay better phones out there that have flash player which the iphone doesnt have , phones with bigger screens and better cameras , and more open because in iphones u cant do alot of stuff and u cant really personilize it how u want unless u jailbreak it. Which i think its not fair because if u bought the phone and u are paying everymonth u should be able to do watever the hell you want with your phone!! And with android u can do whatever u want without having to jailbreak it . I kno i might get thumbs down from them gay Apple fanboys but idgaf..

I agree about the iphone being kinda dull with the iOS. Ive had both android and iPhone and the things I like about the Iphone is I can integrate it with my Macbook Pro to run different things.

With another carrier offering the iPhone, there will be more App Store Customers. Thats why I got into the development business. I wonder if Verizon's network is as strong as they say they are.

btw if you wanna get into the app development business with an App Idea you have go tohttp://IdeaApps2Cash.com

I'm glad that Verizon is getting the iPhone, the one thing that pisses me off is being told as an existing customer I can reserve one, then get an email saying that I can reserve it but then being told that I would have pay full retail price for it. No special promotion for existing customers unless you're upgrade eligible. And I would of been upgrade eligible but Verizon changed their annual upgrade policy a few months ago without notification so you have to be on a $59.99 plan or higher for 90 days to get it, so they excluded people who were on lower priced plans.

I'm on my second replacement Droid and this POS handset is being a little bitch.

No special promotional pricing b/c you used your upgrade credit you jackwagon. if you just upgraded why should you be offered the upgrade price again so soon? nobody told you to upgrade...it was your choice. don't be pissed off at Verizon...be pissed off at yourself for not waitin. sometimes i wonder do consumers actually live in the real world. Gimme, gimme, gimme...freakin baby.

Actually the annual upgrade policy just changed 1/16. To get an annual upgrade, you always had to have a plan of $59.99 or higher or on a 1 year contract. So if you're on a $39.99 plan you never qualified for an annual upgrade in the first place.

The only reason I am getting an iphone and not an android device is because of the task manager! I am currently using a palm pre plus and so multitasking is just part of the experience and i dont want to go from swiping my finger to close an app to opening a completely different app to close an app that doesnt always stay closed!

I plan on pre-ordering tonight. I've been waiting on any news of Windows Phone 7 for Verizon since before launch. I have had Zune devices since their launch in 2006 and Windows promised Windows Phone 7 to other carriers by holiday time. I have heard no news of WP7 on any other carrier except T-moblie or possibly Sprint. I love the Zune Pass and want it on a phone and thought it would come to Windows 6.5, but they launched 6.5 and it rapidly went to the weigh side (sorry if mis-spelled). After years of waiting I'm done. My Imagio is glitching heavy and the speaker went out, I'm going to the other side and trying what has already been established as a great product with a lot of support. I may like the look and feel of Zune more, but severe lack of support and news from Windows has me switching. Sorry for the rant, just needed to vent a little.

@ATTCallCenter WRONG!!!

APPLE IPHONE
no adobe flash, no expandable memory, cant replace the battery yourself, wont be 4g, that damn 32 pin charger port that dont match non of the 5 micro usb car and house and usb cables that I already have. almost all of the good apps have a pricetag, but it has facetime and its pretty, nice pretty phone there guys looks good with your skinny jeans (beer commercial lmao)

as opposed to

ANDROID

adode flash (i just streamed denzel movie "unstoppable" on my droid x and no i didnt pay for it just streamed it from zshare) expandable memory up to 32gb so far and internal memory, replacable battery (just incase you want to have a extra battery charged), now having front facing cameras, 8mp camera, tons of good free apps, can return an app, no syncing required just log back into google if you get a different android device and retreive all of your numbers and paid apps, some apps can be saved to your memory card ,NEW (as of today)google marketplace online where you can purchase apps and free apps and they start downloading to your phone right then without connecting anything. fast fast fast, text to speech, the best input method since the qwerty keyboard SWYPE, plenty of flavors and style to choose from not just one that keeps getting changed every 1 year or so. Fully customizable

now how is apple better??? how

joejoe, if you are talking about me in your comments, then this is for you! No the DroidX doesn't have dual core, and only 3g, but I'm not boasting it either. As the owner of the original Droid, Droid2, Fascinate and now the DroidX I can tell you that yes I have had experience with the HTC Thunderbolt with the help of a floater. Don't need to get in that either which is why I will be up at 3 am when the Thunderbolt is ready for pre-order.
