Tweetie 2 disappearing act signals the release of an official Twitter app for the iPhone?

Twitter usage on the iPhone may have gotten a jolt today as we saw Tweetie 2 pull a disappearing act on the App Store where it's been touted as one of the best Twitter clients available for the venerable smartphone. Most may be appalled by this, but luckily it may signal to something better soon that will surely make Twitter on the iPhone more spectacular and joyful. Twitter's own version, aptly named “Twitter for iPhone,” will surely be greeted with open arms by many users as we anticipate its launch some time soon now that the Tweetie 2 app has been pulled off the shelves. Aside from the free price tag it'll be adorning, there are still plenty of things left in the dark that surely will come to light when it's released. In the end, it'll undoubtedly sport some tight integration with Twitter that'll hopefully catapult it into the top of list for the many Twitter users out there.
