The most powerful 'Berry ever, the Pearl 3G 9105, can now be pre-ordered
While perhaps one of the smallest BlackBerry models by stature, the Pearl 3G packs a wallop. With a 642MHz processor and 3G connectivity, the new version of the Pearl is the most powerful BlackBerry model made to date and is available in two different models The 9105 is equipped with a 14 key standard mobile keypad with 3 characters per key. The BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 comes with the usual 20 key SureType keyboard with two letters per key. Gone is the Pearl's trackball, replaced by an optical trackpad. Now available for pre-order, service plans for the 9105 will start as low as 20BP per month through Orange. As far as seeing the new Pearl in the U.S., as we recently reported, T-Mobile has supposedly turned down the handset in both versions, holding out for a new 3G Curve currently in the works.

For look, style and the hipness factor it may lag behind the iPhone. Google does'nt not actually make phones. They supply the software and stamp their name on the phone somewhere, so some people may think they manufactured the entire phone. They don't Despite all of that, the BB still is a very useful tool for alot of business people and thats the majority of their market niche. You won't find alot of 16 year olds packing BB's. They just aren't cool enough
