Over the past few weeks we've seen a few real-world images of the Nokia Shade 2705 flip phone, but the device has now shown up on Verizon's internal site, which means a release can't be too far away in October. The Shade will come with a few interchangeable Xpress-On Covers to allow for color personalization. This budget flip phone will also feature a 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth, and 62MB of internal memory. Unfortunately a microSD memory card slot is missing, as well as EVDO.

Thanks to a friend for the info and pics!

Say hello the the Nokia 2605 Mirage replacement. Hopefully it's the same size, and has better sound quality than the last model.

1.3MP camera, no card slot, and no high speed data? Why does Nokia hate Verizon so much? We haven't had a single high end Nokia.

They do make there handsets now, but not the chipsets (I actually work for an outside company that makes the chipsets), Pantech before they made they started using there own brand name used to make CDMA handsets for Nokia. They make them themselves, but I think Verizon is being very picky on what they will accept. Especially high end models, as they do not fit "VZW's simple and generic" outlook on devices.

Some people still like a basic phone. I hope this one's better than the Mirage
