blackberry would be wise to just create a pay app for various platforms to do bbm....get like a virtual pin...charge like a one time $20 fee and let winmo and other users bbm

I for one am very excited about this phone. I think Android is really at the top of the game right now in terms of usability and every developer I've seen seems to love the crap outta Android. To me it's not so much Android as it is something new. I'm really tired of Windows Mobile and Palm's WebOS isn't exactly what I want. I love what MotoBlur has done with in-the-cloud syncing of all your online presences. That was the aspect of Palm's synergy that I liked the most and it seems Motorola took it a step further. I've currently got a Motorola Q9C and I can attest that Motorola makes sturdy handsets, so it's gonna be hard passing this one up. I am eager to see what a Google Phone can offer. My biggest fear is lag. I don't want a laggy interface and I don't want a slow phone that can't keep up with me. If it's not fluid and fast, It'll annoy me pretty quickly. So far from the videos I've seen, Motorola's MotoBlur seems pretty fast.

well it does say "the rest of the documents, such as the photos, features, and user manuals have been locked tight for the next 180 days". if it was going to be released in october what would be the reason for them saying that? maybe that's why it was no mention of it at the android conference back in september. i'm sending my TP2 back in hopes this phone will be great on verizon.

@xcalibur, The 180 days is a standard period that Motorola always asks the FCC for secrecy when getting their approval. Even if it was released in a week they would still say 180 days, just in case if they changed the release date it would not get revealed by the FCC too soon. It is easier that way, so they can use a standard template for all their approval requests documents.

Let me tell you all... this phone is awesome...I have seen it and It is as good if not better than the Iphone. I played around with this phone a month ago and it is great...it has a 5 mega pix camera....best of all it is a google phone.
