Samsung Omnia now offered by Telus

The feature packed Samsung Omnia is now offered up North by Canadian carrier Telus. The Windows Mobile 6.1 powered device has a nice 3.2 inch touchscreen display with some multimedia functions unique to the Telus model of the phone such as Telus mobile TV. The carrier's mobile music and mobile radio are also included on the smartphone along with Wi-Fi, 8GB of memory exapandable through the microSD slot, and a 5MP camera with flash and video capture. The price with the standard Canadian three year contract is $129.99, rising to $349.99 with a two year deal, $449.99 with a one year pact and off contract the Omnia costs $499.99. Now, if one were to cross the border down to a Verizon store in the U.S., the Omnia would cost $99 with a two-year contract, but with gas costing what it does these days and having to cross the border gate twice, better to put the kibosh on that idea.

I signed up on 10-Apr.2009 and returned to Telus store on 13-Apr.2009 due to phone was keep freezing. 1. Slow touch response (compared to iPHONE) 2. difficult to type 3. Huge Battery comsumption ( 2hrs of usage result battery empty) Paid $50 for re-stocking charge to Telus store. Lost $50 cause of my stupid desicision making. Can not be compared to iPHONE!!
