Nokia releases interviews with lead designers
If you’re following Nokia lately, you’d know that the company has become completely different over the last year or so - not just because of its financial troubles, but down to the root. Nokia chief executive Stephen Elop is placing the company in a symbiotic relationship with Microsoft where Nokia focuses on location and design, but not much on the traditionally strong Nokia R&D.

And now Nokia is releease a video documentary about the meaning of design at Espoo. It features some lead designers sharing their experiences with Nokia, explaining what are their favorite devices and what drives the Nokia design team.

The videos are nearly 20-minute long, so it’s a long watch, best for those who want to know the inner works at Nokia, so if you’re don’t care that deeply about the Finnish company, you could still watch the videos, but you might not enjoy them all that much. Interestingly, a lot of the designers mention a couple of times the Nokia N9 as either their favorite device or an inspiration. This is strange for reasons outside its beautiful design - the Nokia N9 running on MeeGo was not sold in Nokia’s strongest markets, but instead went a bit under the company’s official radar.

Did you find something capturing your attention in those videos? Let us know in the comments below.
