Motorola XT720 firmware update pushes the handset to a 720MHz clock speed

Motorola MILESTONE XT720 owners in Germany and the UK surely have something forward to look to that'll increase the processing performance of their handset and more.

On its Facebook page, Motorola announced that they are planning to update the firmware of the XT720 which will essentially boost its CPU to a clock speed of 720MHz – which is up from its usual 550MHz position right now. Additionally, owners are going to see DLNA functionality grace the handset as well which will enable them to share various content with other DLNA supported devices.

Even though it's receiving a nice improvement with its processing prowess, it'll be interesting to see how battery life performs now that the CPU is running a little bit faster. Still, owners will be more than thrilled to see Motorola quickly throw some love their way.
