Holiday version of LG's BL40 Chocolate has 8MP camera; December 10th launch for South Korea
Out of all of the phones that were launched overseas and have not yet been released Stateside, perhaps the one model that brings on the strongest feeling of regret is LG's BL40 New Chocolate handset. At one point this year, the BL40 might just have been the most lusted after phone in the U.S. Instead of this model,  Verizon decided to offer the LG Chocolate Touch and soon  other models like the HTC HD2 and the Motorola DROID replaced the BL40 as the Drool Kings.

Not a smartphone, the unique looking device is as sleek and sexy as any of the newly launched models in the U.S. with as many features. For the holiday season, the elves at LG have decided to make the BL40 just a little more special. On December 10th, a holiday themed BL 40 New Chocolate Christmas Edition will be released in Korea sporting an 8MP camera, up from the 5MP version on the regular handset. The regular black casing will have gold accents on it and the Christmas Edition will come with a voucher that will allow the owner to win prizes of as much as 5 million KRW (Don't get too excited as that works out to about $4,000 USD). Pricing was not disclosed and there was no word on whether the holiday version of the BL40 would be made available in other countries.
