Hands-on with Eten X800 and X600
1
We got our hands on two of the new Windows Mobile 6 Professional smartphones from Eten. If you haven’t heard that brand, it is a Taiwanese manufacturer, producing only WM smartphones with touch-sensitive display; here you can see our reviews of its products.
The X800 is the first 3G-enabled model of the manufacturer, which sporting tri-band UMTS/HSDPA can use 3G world-wide. It is candybar model and is advertised for its VGA touch-sensitive display which has 4 times the resolution of the standard QVGA.
Eten X800 Specifications
The X600 lacks the 3G support and has only QVGA resolution, but is much smaller than the high-end model which makes it pocket-friendly. It still has built-in GPS with Sirf Star III chipset, WiFi and 2-megapixel camera, and runs on Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS, but is advertised as small rather than powerful smartphone.
