HTC Vigor gets one step closer to reality as it receives its Bluetooth certification
Already, we know what to expect with the upcoming HTC Vigor – a device that's shaping up to become a juggernaut with its ridiculous high-end specs. Hinting towards that inevitable release, the handset recently received its Bluetooth certification.

Although it might not particularly sound all that impressive beyond the laundry list of hardware expected to be on board with the handset, we’re presented with the confirmation that it’ll be supporting the Bluetooth 3.0 standard. Moreover, it features some of the common items you’d expect to see nowadays – such as support for A2DP 1.2 and hands-free profile 1.5. Moreover, it was found being approved back on July 14th.

Besides the monster 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM it’s rumored to be packing for the ride, it’s also said to incorporate the latest Adreno 220 GPU as well. So far, the rumors have it on track for an October 6 release date.

wierd, i was just typing that same thing. i was really hoping this phone would have a physical qwerty keyboard, so i wanted to see if this was the real picture. i have original droid, i dont want to get rid of the physical keyboard, i want these specs too though, i know, a lot to ask, but is it really?

i have an OG droid too and the keyboard is so crappy it might as well not even be there. I gave up on using that crowded POS long ago and I can't even remember the last time I used it to type a full length message. While I like the idea of having a full physical keyboard, if you've had the OG droid for this long, you should be pretty damn used to typing with a touchscreen.

The added thinness that you get without a physical keyboard is pretty nice too.

I don't understand what a big deal a physical keybord is get over it they are in extinction, I'm with eraser I'd trade a keybord for a slimmer form factor anyday, bring it on! Now it'll hard to decide between this and the Nexus prime, I love HTC and sense would be a nice upgrade from my old incredible but at the same time I want a pure Android experience and not to worry about freaking updates! I love ice cream sandwiches BTW, lol

Its replacing the Thunderbolt. So yes (if you believe the leaked verizon roadmap is correct)

I saw that leaked roadmap too. But I would like more concrete info than saying it's replacing Tbolt.

Do you think its worth waiting for the vigor or should i get with the bionic? Itll be my first smart phone and I want it to be a good one.

I'd go for bionic. That would be safer bet than vigor. HTC often has battery, reception problems especially with LTE.

http://www.vzbuzz.com/2011/08/say-hello-to-the-htc-vigor/

I'm glad they didn't find this and make us think that the ugly phone pictured there is the vigor... So glad
The real vigor looks great and probably has the same rotating touch sensitive buttons

over at engadget they got a leaked pic.

It looks pretty accurate on how big the screen is. The back is mix of Sensation and Inc 2.
