'HP Touchpad' trademark filed by HP & potentially the name for its webOS tablet
Fresh on the minds of some people, we were treated yesterday to some juicy information regarding HP/Palm's upcoming webOS tablets. Needless to say that we'll get to learn a lot more about them come February 9th when they're speculated to be officially unveiled, but today we find something interesting hanging around at the USPTO.

This time around, HP has apparently filed for the trademark “TOUCHPAD” which appears to encompass a broad range of product categories from PDAs to tablet computers. Some believe it to be a name that will ultimately be adopted by either the “Topaz” and “Opal” webOS powered tablets, with the other potentially using the “PalmPad” moniker.

Moreover, it could be something entirely different from what we can suspect, but we'll surely know when that February 9th date begins to draw closer.
