Costco to include a free accessory pack with the Motorola DROID RAZR
This isn’t the first time that Costco is adding the incentive of a free accessory kit to a smartphone. When the Motorola DROID BIONIC launched they offered a bonus pack that included a standard dock, a vehicle car mount, a car charger, an extra battery and a battery charger to go alone with it. The offer they may have for the DROID RAZR may be just as enticing.
The accessory pack that they are believed to be offering with the DROID RAZR includes an HD dock and an HDMI cable. They are also going to be including a car charger as well as a second wall charger. The total package of accessories is valued at $120. Although this offer will not be available on launch day, November 14 is only a few days away.
Does anybody think they will head over to their local Costco on the 14th to take advantage of this deal? Sure, it’s not as mouth-watering as Amazon’s one day sale but it is still good nonetheless. Tell us what you think.

This might be the tipping point that decides Rezound Vs Razr for me!

Costco is the devil! I wouldn't buy dog food at Costco much less a phone. The emby low lifes that work for wireless advocates kiosk inside costco barely know how to stand upright, and you would go so far as to trust them to access your account. They have to offer incentives to make up for lack of knowledge.

Yeah, their rep doesn't know about phones that debut in under a week's time (Rezound), but to answer you: yes, for $120 worth of free phone goodies, I would let 'em access my account. Maybe they will have some tasty Rezound accessories soon as well ? :)

I never had a problem with the wireless service that I got with Costco. You have to remember the demographics of Costco customers -- they tend to have higher income and education than the general population. These customers don't tolerate substandard service.
My advice is that if you are disgruntled ex-employee, go bark up another tree.

Who cares what they know, look like, smell like. As long as they can get you the phone or deal you want. After that deal is completed it's not like you really ever have to talk or deal with them again. If you have a problem with your phone or whatever just call up Verizon wireless.

Costco does have it today PA!!! Dont know where the 14th came from!? as for reps not knowing stuff, i think you got a sales person who wants to sale you today .. not on a future phone.. Just the way the huslte works! Dont forget the tax on the Razr comes off 289.99..also a costco benifit.

Costco has a long standing policy that taxes are on the prediscounted amount. Also, this information is well displayed throughout the store.

Actually, taxes on a cell phone are off the regular/normal retail price in Louisiana, California, Nevada, and maybe one other state. All others charge taxes based upon the price that it was purchased at.

The only thing that sucks about that is what if your smartphone you have is worth more than $50.

Even if the Nexus came with no accessories, it would still be my choice of phone since the Razr has a locked bootloader and the Rezound doesn't really stand out in any way (Beats audio is a gimmick, slowest CPU/GPU of the three, though I will admit it probably will have the best screen).

The Galaxy Nexus will also offer stock android ice cream sandwich. Also any updates to the OS Galaxy Nexus will have it first instead of waiting 6 months or more.

On the Nexus: no microSD support is a dealbreaker for me. My phone also serves as an mp3 and video player. Most new phones accept 32GB mSDHC and several are (unofficially) working with 64GB mHDXC. 16GB for apps is fine, but I needs me a big tunesbin. A full review of the Rezound, including screen, cameras, Beats (yeah, I know, but I wanna hear for myself), and battery life, will help me decide. Also, I plan to show up at the store with my own mix of musics on an mSD and a pair of studio-quality headphones. Can't wait to retire my OG Droid!

Same here, OG Droid getting a bit aged. No microSD is definitely a negative, but isn't a deal breaker for me since 16-32GB is more than sufficient.

portable juice pack charger $60
HDMI cable $30
HD desk dock $30
car charger $25
carrying pouch $20
screen protector $10
one happy s.o.b. who got this for free, priceless :)

Do you really need a screen protector for the Razr? It's cool you got all that for free. If i was to buy any of those things i would probably just buy them on amazon because they are priced better.

I don't need it, but I prefer to have one. almost half of the people I know has a scree protector on. I guess it's one of those just in case moments.

I buy from Costco Whenever they offer high tech items. I saw their AD for the Droid Bionic, which I was considering before the Droid Razr appeared. I knew they would offer a similar bonus deal like the Droid Bionic when I visited their web site and saw that they had removed the Droid 2 from their collection of Motorola phones.
On November 10TH, I went to my local Costco and spoke with the young lady at the mobile phone booth, who told me that they indeed would be offering the bonus package.
Friday November 11TH, at 11:15 a.m. I was there and purchased my Droid Razr. The sales lady filled out all the paperwork needed to request my bonus. It only took about fifteen minutes to complete the full transaction. That is what I call service!

In my earlier comment, I forgot to mention that when I pick up my new Droid Razr, it included a gift package that contained a car charger and a carrying case. Cool!

does costco honor the NE2 credit when upgrading?
