Earlier this month, we reported that a leaked shot of a computer screen showed that the BlackBerry 9700 was in "Pre-launch" status at AT&T. Now we have some more confirmation that this handset is indeed, heading to the carrier. A picture of an AT&T retail sales screen shows that the 9700 is in the system, awaiting a launch.

The BlackBerry 9700, aka the Onyx, has some nice specs including a 5MP camera with AF, Wi-Fi, QWERTY keyboard and a trackpad. The phone will feature quand band GSM/GPRS/.EDGE with UMTS/HSDPA. We've already been able to show you this unit dressed up in T-Mobile colors and now we know it will also be offered by AT&T. So far, there has been no talk of pricing.

Hmm, looks like the ATT version will have the darker chrome like the verizon version of the tour while Tmobile gets the more polished version.

I just can't say that I'm all that satisfied with RIM going the optical mouse direction... Trackballs are the signature of Blackberrys, Samsung uses optical mice... Hopefully they prove to be as user-friendly, if not more, than the trackballs.

We're looking forward to that launch! Hopefully it will come out sooner and will offer better features at a justifiable price:) Pricing is really important. Providers must make sure that products are with good quality and are also cost-effective. For business phone systems, there are plenty of cost-effective products on:http://www.pbx-soho-phonesystems.com Phone System
