Android powered Dell Streak eying a release for
Just when we were all starting to get comfy with the notion of seeing 4.3” displays become the dominant norm in size for high-end smartphones, Dell decided to give a time frame of “late July” for their impending release of the Dell Streak. The 5” display it'll be sporting will easily dwarf recent trend setters like the HTC HD2, HTC EVO 4G, and Motorola DROID X with its own monstrous proportions. Yes, it may push the limit for most consumers whether or not it's even feasible to carry around this behemoth, but the opportunity to own one is knocking on the door. Pre-orders are now being made available for those early adopters who propose on flaunting this Android powered device to friends and co-workers. You'll have approximately less than 24 hours to sign up for this limited pre-order process which will also upgrade you to a free second business day shipping and the option to purchase a Plantronics Bluetooth headset for a mere $0.99 – not too shabby for those who have an inkling to side with it right away. Regardless if you decide not to go with a pre-order, the end of the month is just right around the corner.

AT&T and VZW price plans are exactly the same. So how is AT&T wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wait wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy cheaper? unless you are counting that you pay $15 for 250 mb of data where on Verizon you pay $30 for unlimited for the time being.

Why would cocaine cloud your judgement? ;)

I got the Captivate/Galaxy S - You will absolutely Love it. I put it up against my iPhone 4, and the AMOLED screen blows the iPhone 4 to pieces. Yes, the iPhone 4 screen has visibly better resolution, but the Galaxy S has visible better coloring and brightness. Comparing it with the iPhone 4, the iP4 looks completely dull. Colors POP out of the Galaxy S. Great phone!

Yep, and it is a SUUPER AMOLED SCREEN - HD quality - love the live wallpapers and the game emulator ROMs play very nicely - speedy.

24. remixfa posted on 22 Jul 2010, 19:49

yea, ive been playing with the live demo pretty much all day every day since we got them in stores. I notice on the screen when its a "color" it looks sharp as hell, but if its like a white/black, you can see the pixel pretty easy. bugged me at first but now i barely notice. has everyone else noticed that as well? maybe im just looking for imperfections because im a jaded tech geek.. lol

28. remixfa posted on 25 Jul 2010, 09:37

finally got it. vibrant/galaxy S is amazing :)

Does anyone know if this thing has a front facing camera for video calling??

11. sprintguy09 posted on 21 Jul 2010, 22:21

yes it does

16. zerglisk posted on 22 Jul 2010, 11:25

This phone only supports 3G connectivity, no Wi-Fi. OHHHhh hRIGHT! Only iPhone 4 requires wi-fi over video chatting... my bad.

Almost looks like a slightly thinner Blackberry Storm with a bigger screen. Dell...c'mon? Android 1.6? Why would you do that?
