10 funny iPad accessories that are real (almost)

Accessories! Some want them, some not, but when it’s about an Apple product you know they’d be there even before it arrives. We’ve seen some weird ones, then we’ve seen weirder, and then the decision came to put them all in one place for you to see.

And if you thought it was easy picking out - you’d better rethink. We had to narrow it down to iPad-only accessories, and even there we’ve left some out. Those included range from a bacon case to an arm stand for the iPad!

This is our selection of nutty ideas that somehow made it to retail shelves, but we’re not claiming they are the nuttiest. We’re pretty confident you’ve bumped into even crazier ones, so don’t hesitate to share them with us in the comments below.

Bacon and iPad. Those go perfectly together. Well, not literally - you browse the web and eat bacon. But if you're an ambitious case designer wanting to merge them together, here's what you end up with.

3. iMaxi

Now, your iPad has wings. Wait what? Yes, those are for even better protection. This is wrong on so many levels, that we'll just let the picture speak for itself.

4. A suit with custom-made iPad pockest

Now, if you don't think this is funny, you'd better try placing a nearly 10-inch tablet in your pocket and act like there's nothing there. Oh yes, the idea is not that bad, though.

5. iTee and iDress

While we're still on the dressing topic, here's another take. iTee and iDress come with an iPad pouch. So you're almost like a kangaroo, but your baby is an iPad. You guessed right - it comes from Australia! Oh, and the maker claims this would keep your iPad virtually undetectable.

6. C-3PO Bespin Backpack

$60 will hook you up with an even more absurd piece of clothing. The C-3P0 backpack is for hardcore, and we really mean hardcore, Star Wars fans. The world will never understand you, but you'd still be happy, right?

7. iBone Dog Toy

Not exactly an iPad accessory, but this dog toy would be the closest possible match to an iPad for you, if you were a dog. And if you're a dog reading this, you should bark with joy. Could it get more absurd?

8. Modded Mac Classic iPad Dock

Yeah, it's custom made and not for sale, but it's awesome if you're a geek. Otherwise, it's just weird.

9. iPad Bicycle Dock

Obsessing over your iPad? If the iArm wasn't real, this here bicycle mount is quite real, and can actually get you into bigger trouble. And that's possibly one of the few cases where distracted driving on a bike could be dangerous.

The classic Mac dock with a bluetooth keyboard sounds awesome! Its the nerd in me I guess...speaking of nerd in me, is it wrong that my eyes lit up like a girl in an anime when i saw the c3po backpack? No? Thought so.

Just love how the guy on the iArm cover looks really serious like he's actually handling some business lol
