T-Mobile begins to send out minor OTA update for the myTouch 3G Slide
As much as newly minted T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide owners are waiting for the day for a Froyo update to arrive, they're receiving a minor one that addresses some of the issues seen with the handset. T-Mobile has begun rolling out an over-the-air update to owners and should reach everyone hopefully by August 19th. When you receive the notification on your handset, you can expect to see a better battery life, changes to the Genius Button, the addition of a voice command for GPS functionality, changes to the Faves Gallery, the ability to send MMS messages when connected through Wi-Fi, and other enhancements. Granted it's not Froyo, handset owners will probably be glad to see the enhancements which should make the handset just a tiny bit better – but we'd imagine Froyo is still high on their list.

While I think Sprint's Anytime/Anymobile plan is better than the other $69.99 plans the one fact that most people seem to forget is that for just $10.00 more you can call ANYBODY whether it be landline or mobile and still get the other features that Sprint offers with the exception of Sprint NFL and NASCAR so maybe Sprint may just want to revisit thei rater plans again. With that said T-mobile has the best rate plans for now and if your'e into prepaid with no contract then Metro PCS gets the nod.

Agreed. More so with the TMo plan than with Metro. Cricket is in Houston not Metro. Although Cricket just signed an agreement with Sprint so its looking up for them.

Sprint can do Data/Voice over 4G which they already offer in several cities unlike Verizon.
