Qtek released information about two new smartphones running on Windows Mobile, and produced by HTC – Qtek 8310 and Qtek 8300, both based on the HTC Tornado. Both devices run on the lastes Windows Mobile 5.0 for smartphones and are quad-band with GPRS and EDGE, allowing them to work in Europe and America. The screens are QVGA, 240x320-pixels, and the built-in camera produces 1.3-megapixel images. A new feature is the support of Wi-Fi (802.11b), in addition to the Bluetooth. The CPU is TI OMAP 200 MHz; the devices have 64MB of ROM and 32 MB of SDRAM. The memory can be expanded through miniSD cards.

We expect soon to see the same hardware as in Qtek 8310/8300 in devices, branded i-Mate, and some carriers name, as it happens with most of the HTC devices.
