Watch out HTC ChaCha and Salsa, that’s because there’s another handset in town that’s featuring its very own Facebook button as well – albeit, don’t expect this one to be as refined as HTC’s offerings.

Targeting the prepaid market, the Vodafone 555 Blue is a portrait QWERTY messaging device that boasts quick access to Facebook with its recognizable and dedicated Facebook button. However, instead of being some sort of smartphone, it’s basically none other than a simple and inexpensive messaging feature phone.

Additionally, its specs won’t impress that many people since it features a 2.4” QVGA display (not a touchscreen), 200 MHz processor, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1, FM radio, and a 1,000 mAh battery. Even worse, it lacks Wi-Fi connectivity and will simply rely on 2G speeds in order to get your social networking groove on with the proprietary Vodafone platform running on it.

Although it’s going to be made available as a prepaid device, there is no official word regarding its exact release date and pricing – however, it’s rumored to land at around 60 GBP (US$99). Knowing that, will this be something that might appeal to you considering you're stuck with 2G speeds?

That's nothing but just a copy of HTC ChaCha... But then, it seems quite good for it's price ;) Would've been better though, if it had WiFi.

Which OEM makes this thing? Needs to have a music player if I'm going to ever consider it, and needs to be available unlocked. The price is decent for a no-contract phone, but only if this thing has the music player I would like, too.

I was just pointing out to the main significance(Facebook in this case) and the casing of the phone, in case you didn't realize! Especially the colour scheme, it's ditto! The upper part black, and then the lower white... That is so the color scheme of HTC ChaCha... You can't disagree with me in that case!

Next time you contradict, think about it and then do so..
