The small screen goes super-small with SlingPlayer Mobile
For the mobile couch potato or person who needs another reason not to give up their BlackBerry addiction, SlingPlayer Mobile is now in public beta and available to download from the website.

Officially six BlackBerry models are supported: Pearl 8120, Pearl Flip 8220, Curve 8320, Curve 8820, Curve 8900, and Bold 9000. If you are one of the lucky owners of one of these models, then log onto http://mobile.slingmedia.com/ from your BlackBerry to install the software. One thing to note is that you will need a strong 3G cellular or Wi-Fi connection in order to properly utilize this program.

We bet watching video on anything other than the Bold is going to be a constrained affair (Storm is not supported yet). Nevertheless, if you need to catch Lost or Heroes on the go there's no better way to do it than with a Slingbox.

You need the Physical SlingBox in order for the mobile sling player to work. You forgot to mention that Part. *eyes rolling*

Why should they bother with giving the full story, never stopped them before ;)

I had a customer come into the store with slingbox connected to his Blackberry. It was pretty cool. Saw his TV guide with comcast and everything.... 2 weeks later, AT&T caught on and suspended his phone and said he would have to stop "sling-ing" or they'd cancel him with an ETF. LOL

Ok...I smell BS! How did some one have this on a BB over two weeks ago if the beta just released yesterday? Also the maybe they updated the artical but the last part "if you need to catch Lost or Heroes on the go there's no better way to do it than with a Slingbox." Which when I read it implies that you need a Slingbox in order for this to work.

It was over a year ago so it MIGHT have been a Treo like #7 had. So there.

I guess I could find this somewhere but can anyone answer this question: can i change the channel on my mobile phone via slingbox WITHOUT changing the channel on the actual TV @ home?

yes you can change the channel on your mobile phone but it would control the tv at home to change the channel also i used to have sling on my treo a while back and yes you have to have the box also for it all to work
