The HTC S743 comes specially designed for the US
If you are a fan of the more conservative shapes and don’t like the way that the new mobile devices look like, with all these touch screens and no keyboards, then the newly announced  HTC S743 is sure to make your dreams come true. The device will be a clone of the European S740, with the major difference that its 3G bands will be 850/1900 MHz, suitable for the US.

The key characteristics of the phone are the 1.7-inch wide body, which offers a traditional 12-key front keypad design, a full side-sliding keyboard and a relatively large 2.4-inch display with QVGA resolution.

If you find HTC’s new product quite tempting, you may be interested to know that the S743 will be available through select retail channels in the first quarter of 2009.

But square shaped phones are so...meh. I like phones that dare to be different. That's why I usually like HTC phones.

I would agree but it's a nice alternative for those opposed to touchscreens. It's pretty plain but looks really clean, although it makes the screen pretty small...

The phone looks like a pimped out remote controller. It must be very long, since it has a large 2.4" screen.
