Texting played a huge role in foiling bank robbery
We've heard by now all the negative stories of how texting was cited as the main cause of serious accidents. In the case of an attempted bank robbery in Boston, it was the saving grace in getting the would be robber arrested. Reports state that Delroy George Henry of Boston was wearing a suit and driving a BMW when he walked into a Citizens Bank armed with a pellet gun. The bank just opened up for the day when Henry came strolling in and pulled out his gun on employees. During all the confusion, one of the employees managed to send a text message to the manager of a nearby branch. Officers working close to the bank got the call and arrested Henry before he could make his getaway. It goes to show how texting was the main reason this had a happy ending.
