Push notifications finally grace the Google Mobile app for the iPhone
Call it a long time in the making, but push notifications are finally being offered on the Google Mobile App for the iPhone – something that's surely wanted by many users. We're confident that there have been plenty of instances when you've probably missed out on some event because it totally flew under the radar, but thankfully, notifications will alert you so you're always in tune with your schedule. Not only will it show you on-screen that you've received new mail in Gmail, but it'll even display Google Calendar reminders and even packs new code which essentially provides for quicker answers when you're searching stuff – like flight info, weather, stock quotes, and currency conversion. It's finally available here, so make sure to download the update through the App Store.

Normally I hate the first comments, but I'll have to +1 this one. You pretty much summed up most of the comments on the site. BUT...iPhone has had this for a while too, just need to set up your Google account as an Exchange account on the phone, and then you'll have wireless syncing and push for calendars, mail, and contacts.

The only thing that will get annoying if you receive some stupid email and get that pop up alert that will interrupt what your doing.
