Orange & HP partnering to provide mobile broadband service
Mobile broadband access is expected to explode with netbooks becoming more prevalent in the PC market. Orange and HP announced a strategic partnership that will allow both companies to drive more mobile broadband access to the European market. There will be a variety of HP notebooks and netbooks that will be offered with mobile or fixed broadband access. Right now, the three-year pan-European partnership will base its focus in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, and Portugal with the rest of the Orange footprint to roll out later. At 23.2 million mobile broadband customer base and up 81% from the previous year, there has been a steady demand for the service globally with Orange.  One of the brand new offers include the Compaq Mini 700 that UK Orange customers can purchase with internet connectivity starting at £30 per month for 3GB data allowance.
