New photos showing the red LG Google Nexus 5 appear, packaging included
Several new photos that allegedly show red Google Nexus 5 handsets appeared on Twitter today. This gives some kind of credit to all the previous rumors which had it that the smartphone would be released in different color options later this year.

The red LG-made Nexus 5 was photographed in its retail box. And it looks like someone got hold of quite many such retail boxes - all allowing us to see that they’re containing “RED” Nexus devices (16GB) made in Korea. Certainly, this is by no means a confirmation that Google will commercialize a red Nexus. But why wouldn’t it do it, right?

At the moment (as some of you may know), Google is selling the Nexus 5 in two color versions: black and white. Assuming that the red variant is real, we’re hoping that it will be launched in all the markets where the current models are available.

This is so bad photoshopped that I wonder if we need a prescription of eye glasses for authors of these "news"

I agree. On the panda version of the phone the packaging has a front profile and side profile of the phone. This only has a front profile. Also, only the back cover is white while the front and sides are black.

Yh this has to be fake Google would not leave the nexus out or have the
Logo so faint that you can't make it out!

The back of the phone has red smear all over it, either a bad photoshop deal or its blocking the nexus logo...see the rear camera (normally a black ring) it has a redish tint to it.

This may well be fake. (Personally I don't think it is)
Either way the NEXUS logo is there in the image above, you can just about make out the first line of the N. It's also in the correct place, the right height above the LG branding.
(I checked against my own Nexus 5)
If you're still unconvinced, check out the news of this post on gsmarena, despite being the same pictures, weirdly the NEXUS logo is slightly clearer
