New Google Nexus 7 ad shows what to do with an open playground
The Google Nexus 7

The Google Nexus 7

Google keeps telling us that "the playground is open" and we can see exactly what they mean with the newest commercial for the Google Nexus 7 tablet. Take a bunch of kids who have seen the movie "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" with an appreciation for the ocean, add the Google Nexus 7 and a germ of an idea, and the result is, well, you're better off checking it out yourself.

We're not really sure that the ad is going to make someone desire the Google Nexus 7 any more than before viewing it, but it does show how handy the tablet can be in putting together a project. And now that the pricing has been revised so that $199.99 buys you 16GB and $249 will get you 32GB, just about everybody can have one

If you want to see what a little imagination, elbow grease and a Google Nexus 7 can do, click on the video below.

Google, next time include the price. That would seal the sale.

Why didn't they include a price in the ad...?

4. remixfa posted on 04 Nov 2012, 18:31 5

because iDiots would go "look how cheap it is, it must be crap compared to my ipad!"

Remixfa you don't post or comment like befor on all articles?

Exactly. This isn't some compromised tablet that they are ashamed to own up to. The starting at 199 price is too good to ignore.

Not every ad is going to hit up the price tag. If you take a look at other tablet ads, some of them advertise the price while other ads are just meant to show the features of the tablet to get you interested in wanting to find out more about it.

They didnt include the price cuz its different in every country for e.g nexus 7 16 gb is 199$ in u.s.a 209c$ in canada, may be 250€ in europe and so on.......

8. blingblingthing posted on 04 Nov 2012, 18:39

They could have said starting at 199. That in no way misleads anyone.

16GB Version is starting to be sold here in Italy @199€ (tax included)

15. sarb009 posted on 04 Nov 2012, 20:42

Man even then 199€ = 250$

@remixfa. The target audience should be first time buyers. Not uninformed ifans.

Getting this for Christmas, giving android another try with a nexus instead of the crap I've used before. Hopefully this will change my view on android.
