Morphie brings extra battery life and color to iPhone with new Spectrum Helium Juice Pack collection
Mophie is the best known iPhone battery case maker and just as we expect Apple to bring more colors to its devices, Mophie is releasing its equally colorful Mophie Spectrum Helium collection of Juice Packs.

The new color options (on top of the existing silver and black) include blue, green, pink, purple and red, and all bring 1500mAh worth of extra battery life. The price for a Helium juice pack stands at $79.95 and the cases are up for pre-order right away.

The cases promise to deliver an 80% battery boost or up to 6 hours of talk time. We however would definitely wait out until September 10th when Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone 5S, and see whether the cases are compatible with the new device.

They should consider making these muthafreakin'mophies for other smartphones but, then again, other smartphones probably don't need them [as much]: nevermind.

As far as accessories go iPhone is king. Best profit margins and by far along with the largest user base for a single device. Its even more of a nobrainer when you consider that iPhone accessories last for 2 yearly release cycles.

They also make them for the Samsung Galaxy phones. It kind of makes sense they only spend time on the big names rather than waste their time on the less popular manufacturers.

With the trend of so many new phones not having removable/replaceable batteries I would really live to see juice packs available for the current crop of flagship phones. A dream come true would bea case worth not only as battery inside but a micro SD card slot that would interface throughusb otg.
