Large expansion to occur this year for WiMax
In Clearwire’s most recent quarterly earnings report, there were details revealed about their WiMax network. They are expecting to launch their next generation network in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Honolulu, Philadelphia, and Seattle in 2009. Looking beyond that, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Houston, and the San Francisco Bay Area are scheduled for roll-out in 2010. In addition to the new locations, Clearwire is expecting to launch a modem that will work between 3G and 4G networks. Finally, nearly 100 WiMax devices ranging from netbooks to modems are scheduled to be released by the end of the year. The year end earnings report put Clearwire’s net loss at $432.6 million and $118 million for the fourth quarter alone. The aggressive expectation for the coming year places them in good standing in establishing a robust network.

"say it" proof read your post bro... I was just looking at those guys pages, "This statement does not mean that Sprint is going to dump WiMax in favor of LTE, but it leaves open the possibility that Sprint may consider it more seriously in the future,"
