HTC beats Q2 expectations
You got to love how the stock market operates some times. HTC reported a 2 percent loss for their second quarter net profit today – that still managed to beat expectations. For the most recent quarter that ended in June, HTC produced a net profit of 6.49 billion Taiwan dollars ($197.1 million) which is close to the 6.62 billion Taiwan dollars from a year ago – a small drop of 1.96 percent. In this unstable economic climate, it was considered a win for the Taiwanese based manufacturer. With the HTC Touch Pro2 already available in some markets, it helped their drive for the second quarter. We're already in the middle of summer, and HTC is poised to make some noise in the next few months with some premier products.

This is fantastic news... a 2% loss is fantastic for a global recession. Their ambitions on sales prove Peter Chou is a man of his word... congrats HTC!
